Mind Palace

Have you ever seen BBC's Sherlock starring dreamy Benedict Cumberbatch? He brilliantly portrays a young Sherlock Holmes as a genius sociopath with abnormal mental abilities. He seems to effortlessly pay close attention to absolutely everything in every moment and acts in complete and utter clarity. Sherlock often references his "mind palace", a place he can file away information to be accessed only when necessary, making room in his mind for more information to flow in. It is, in essence, a memory trick to help him remember, well... pretty much everything he has ever come into contact with ever! The show sometimes visualizes Sherlock's mind palace like a huge library of information that takes the shape of whatever his thoughts deem most relevant to the situation he is in.
My mind palace is a bit different. What you'll find here is everything I know about the mind and how it works, what it is, what thoughts are, how to deal with or process them, and ultimately how to be like Sherlock. How to be in every moment clearly, effortlessly, and with attention so that you don't have to try to access a library of knowledge to know what's happening, what comes next, what the best action is. You just already know.
